Does this item include any physical pieces?
No, this is a digital download of a step-by-step guide of how to make the chair, along with PDF, DWG, SVG files of the chair template pieces.
What tools and materials are required?
Knowledge of woodworking and tools are necessary to complete the project.
The build requires at least 15 board feet of 1.5" thick (6/4) lumber to build one chair.
Depending on the quality of the wood you source, you may need a planar and jointer. You will also need a table saw and band saw to roughly cut the pieces out, a router to clean up any rough edges, and an orbital sander to finish it off.
What scale should the template pieces be printed at?
Templates can be either printed at 1:1 or 100% scale on 24×36” paper using the PDF template. Depending on your computer or printer, there should also be an option to collate pages or print as separate pages, which you can then piece together.
Alternatively, the template pieces can be directly laser cut or CNC’d using the DWG or SVG template files.
